Position: Electronics Technician
Location: Maungaturoto, Northland
Type: Full-time/Permanent
Pay Range: $29 to $34 per hour (based on experience)
Days: Monday to Friday (with occasional calls on weekends)

Hours: Guaranteed at least 30 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

As an Electronics Technician, your main responsibilities will include maintaining, repairing, and servicing electrical controllers and pumps used in onsite wastewater systems. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Carry out preventative maintenance and repairs on controllers, pumps, and components in wastewater systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical or electronic faults using testing equipment and technical documentation.
  • Repair or replace defective parts, wiring, and assemblies to meet safety and quality standards.
  • Apply electrical, electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic knowledge during servicing and commissioning.
  • Advise clients on safe and efficient operating procedures to prevent malfunctions and extend system lifespan.
  • Travel to client sites for routine maintenance, repairs, and system checks as required.
  • Maintain accurate service records and adhere to company health, safety, and environmental standards.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least two years of relevant electrical or related technical experience.
  • Current NZ full class 1 driver's licence
  • Solid knowledge of electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
  • Commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and professional development.
  • A current driver's licence and able to travel to client sites to carry out work.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
  • Must have a clean police report with no charges pending.
