Truck Driver

Job Description

• To drive trucks in a safe and responsible manner
• To communicate with other staff members in a professional manner
• To liaise with Management with updates about the status of the job
• To maintain the general maintenance of the truck
• To complete work to a satisfactory level
• To assess and manage any Health and Safety requirements that may arise on site.

• A positive and practical attitude with good time management
• Excellent communication skills
• A knowledge of day to day maintenance required for the truck
• Reliable and punctual
• Experience is necessary for this position (2-3 years truck driving is preferred)
• Work well in a team environment
• Be able to work unsupervised
• Available to work extended seasonal hours
• Work productively and efficiently in the workshop and out in the field
• A full drivers license and class 5 license is mandatory
• Be able to pass regular drug tests
• A knowledge of health and safety standards
• A rural background or experience on a farm is an advantage
• Experience with driving John Deere tractors is preferred as you may be required to drive these on occasions for agricultural purposes

This role will be a fixed term contract for the 2025/2026 contracting season. The season runs from the start of October 2025 to the middle of May 2026. Hours will be between Monday - Sunday 2am to 11pm with a guaranteed 30 hours per week. Pay rate will be between $30-$35 per hour.

We provide a great team culture, supportive environment and ongoing training with up to date gear. Our trucks and trailers primarily cart maize silage, grass silage, baleage, straw, hay, metal and lime.
