About us

We are looking for an amazing Receptionist to join our Northern Bays Toyota team. As the welcoming face of our dealership, you'll set the tone for every customer's experience, ensuring they feel valued and confident from the moment they walk through our doors.

Our group has four Toyota sites across North Shore and West Auckland, as well as a Lexus dealership, and two Bridgestone stores. Our kind, diverse and talented team of around 160 is what sets us apart. We've proud to have served the wider Auckland community for over 30 years.

About the role

As our Receptionist, you'll be the welcoming face of Toyota, ensuring every customer feels valued and confident from their very first interaction. You'll greet visitors warmly, learn their names, offer refreshments, and guide them to the right consultant or department.

You'll also keep our showroom pristine and inviting, reflecting the quality of our brand.

Alongside creating outstanding customer experiences, you'll support the Sales and Admin teams with key administrative tasks such as processing orders, preparing deal files, stocking vehicles, and assisting with Toyota NZ audits. You'll provide overflow call support, help coordinate internal events, and contribute to a smooth sales cycle.

You'll also assist our People & Culture team with onboarding and offboarding, coordinating IT and company resources, posting job ads, and helping deliver employee experience initiatives. Throughout, you'll play an active role in fostering a positive team culture, motivating colleagues, and sharing ideas for continuous improvement.

To really shine in this role, you'll bring a bubbly, energetic, and approachable personality, along with a genuine passion for customer service and the Toyota brand. You'll be someone who's naturally organised and detail-focused, keeping our showroom and customer spaces looking immaculate and inviting throughout the day.

Your communication skills will help you build instant rapport, guide customers confidently to where they need to be, and juggle multiple tasks with ease and professionalism. Experience in reception, customer service, or administration will set you up well, as will familiarity with showroom or retail environments.

Solid computer skills will also help you support both our customers and our internal teams smoothly.

We'll be looking for the following experience and skills:

Required:
  • A bubbly, energetic, and approachable personality with a genuine passion for customer service and the Toyota brand
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail to keep the showroom and customer areas pristine
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build instant rapport and guide customers warmly to the right place
  • Confidence in managing multiple tasks and priorities while maintaining professionalism and positivity
Ideally:
  • Previous experience in reception, customer service, or administration
  • Familiarity with showroom or retail environments
  • Strong computer literacy and comfort with systems and processes
