Cafe Head Chef
We are looking for a talented Cafe Chef who is passionate about creating exceptional dishes to join our Goodlife team. 40-45 hours/week, starts mid July.
A self motivated person, looking for a breakout opportunity, would be well positioned here! This is a ground floor opportunity, and because of that there will be unique incentives (above and beyond hourly pay) for the right candidate.
A brief history
Goodlife has 2 existing CBD stores. Feel free to google Goodlife Super Food Co. to learn more. We pride ourselves on the strong reputation we've built with our customers within the Auckland CBD.
To date, Goodlife has specialised in salads, soups, smoothies, cold pressed juices, acai bowls, etc. Both our CBD stores are currently supported by a small prep kitchen 33km's away in Rosedale on the North Shore [not ideal].
Our new store at 66 Wyndham St. [coming in August] will bring our kitchen into the CBD. This new kitchen will support all 3 locations. We anticipate this state of the art kitchen strengthening every aspect of our business.
In addition, and importantly, we are expanding our product lines. We envision our new store supporting the existing lines PLUS our new bakery/pastry, buttie, sandwich, cafe menu.
We envision a similar flow and feel to that of Daily Bread on Galway Street, to Amano's Bakery, Mibo, Scratch Bakers and aspects of a few other highly regarded establishments in Auckland.
Specifically, we are looking for someone to help our business develop a limited All Day menu - breakfast and lunch - consisting of the following product lines:
Sandwiches and Breakfast/Lunch Favourites - a broad array of kiwi classics and potentially help broaden our existing products lines - salads, wraps and soups.
