We’re a bright, vibrant, modern eatery that prides itself on great coffee and wholesome, refined + flavourful food. We are a busy 7-day café situated in the heart of George Street, close to the university precinct and a short walk from the Octagon and Forsyth Barr Stadium.
You will be working alongside our other talented chefs to prep and cook our all-day brunch menu, cabinet food, daily baking, and the occasional catering. This is a permanent full-time position, and as our weekends are our busiest time, being available to work weekends is a must.

With tables split over two levels and outdoor dining, we seat over 60 guests at full capacity.
The role:You will be working alongside our other talented chefs to prep and cook our all-day brunch menu, cabinet food, daily baking, and the occasional catering. This is a permanent full-time position, and as our weekends are our busiest time, being available to work weekends is a must.
We’re only open during the day, so no night shifts!
Your working week will be Thursday to Monday with the following two days off each week.
We're busy! So we are looking for someone who:
- Has proven experience a high-volume kitchen
- Can lead with high energy, clear communication, and accountability
- Can work well under pressure and ensuring every plate we serve is done to a high standard
- Has a passion for great brunch food and baking
- Has baking experience – you will be producing our daily baking and cabinet food 2 times per week
- Is reliable, tidy and has a positive attitude with a warm personality
- Who is genuinely interested and passionate about hospitality
- Order smart, receive stock accurately, and avoid order-based wastage
- Can work weekends
- Competitive wages, starting rate $30+ /hour, depending on experience
