Orchard Supervisor
Orchard Supervisor – Tauranga
We are a labour supply company specialising in kiwifruit farming, and we are currently seeking experienced Orchard Supervisors to join our team in Tauranga, bay of plenty.
In this role, you will be responsible for training and supervising orchard teams in various vine work tasks to meet seasonal and operational demands. You will work closely with the Orchard Manager, coordinating daily to ensure the smooth continuation of orchard work programmes and effectively communicating plans to your teams.
Key responsibilities include:
Supervising and motivating picking and/or pruning crews, as well as orchard contractors.
Ensuring all orchard tasks are carried out in accordance with Health and safety standards.
Overseeing work on managed orchards to ensure best practices are followed and optimal production is achieved.
Monitoring team performance, quality, and compliance with health and safety standards.
We are looking for individuals with strong leadership skills, hands-on experience in orchard operations, and the ability to manage teams effectively in a dynamic environment.
Skills and competencies:
Able to communicate clearly and effectively and at the appropriate level with various types of peopleCan work effectively with others to achieve an optimal outcome
Able to take an organised approach to all tasks in order to prioritise them according to the demands of the business
Grasps new concepts and can see the problem in relation to the bigger picture
Must be able to work flexible hours
Experience and qualifications:
Awareness of H&S legislative requirements, and experience in the implementation of these)Experience working within kiwifruit, horticulture or primary industry.
Driver’s licence and access to own transport preferred

Job Type: Permanenet & ongoingPay rate: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Hours: 30-40 hours/ week
Must be able to work on weekend, if required.
