  • about the role As part of the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO), the Senior Project Manager, Capability Development Projects will oversee project management with a focus on capital equipment capability assets.

On a day-to-day basis you will:Manage complex projects from inception through to their final delivery, including all project related activities.Identify and support the required resources, manage a range of professional relationships including internal teams, vendors, and other national strategic partners.Take the lead in creating and managing day to day project activity in line with the Fire and Emergency project approaches and methodologies.Provide support and leadership to your project teams and the project coordinator working alongside you.

This is a 2-year fixed term position.

  • What you'll bring to the role:Bring your holistic understanding of project management and delivery, to this dynamic position.

You will have excellent stakeholder management and will be able to coach and mentor within the project team based on your experience, as well as ensuring ongoing constructive relationships are maintained with senior stakeholders from across FENZ.

For this role you will have experience working on projects focusing on technical capital assets, with a strong understanding of some of the unique aspects required in managing technical assets across their operating life cycle, from initial procurement to ultimately disposal.

To be successful in this role, we'd expect you will have:Proven experience running multiple projects as a Project Manager or Programme Manager, with a focus on technical capital assets.Demonstrated ability to operate across and understand the full project lifecycle.The ability to effectively communicate and engage with a wide range of stakeholders both within and outside of FENZ.

Strong ability to manage complex project budgets.Significant and broad project management skills inclusive of a sound understanding of critical project reporting and risk management skills.
The salary range for this role is $141,145
  • $156,827 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
