Restaurant Manager

The role is responsible for overall business performance including staff management, financial control, compliance, customer service, and operational efficiency in a fast paced hospitality environment. We trade seven days per week; weekend work will be an expectation.

Shifts are typically 12:00pm - 8pm or 3pm - 10pm.

  • Staff Management: Recruiting, hiring, training, supervising, and scheduling employees.
  • Operational Management: Overseeing daily operations, ensuring smooth service, and addressing customer issues.
  • Financial Management: Managing budgets, tracking expenses, and analyzing profitability.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensuring adherence to food safety, health, and safety regulations.
  • Customer Service: Addressing customer complaints, ensuring positive dining experiences, and maintaining high standards of service.
  • Inventory Management: Tracking inventory, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste.
  • Menu Development: Planning menus in collaboration with chefs, considering customer preferences and profitability.
To be considered for the Duty Manager position you need to:
  • Have a minimum of two year's experience in a busy Restaurant or Cafe OR a level 4 (or above) qualification/international equivalent in a business-related discipline
  • Must hold a current LCQ Manager’s Certificate or be able to obtain one
  • Be available evenings and weekends
  • Have strong communication skills, remain positive & calm under pressure and be punctual & reliable
  • Have an eye for detail
  • Have a love of food & hospitality, love what you do
You will be guaranteed a minimum of 30 hours per week.
