Financial Accountant
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join a high‑performing finance team on a contract basis. This is a key role where you’ll own critical financial reporting processes, strengthen controls, and deliver insights that enable confident decision‑making across the organisation.
About the Role:As the Senior Financial Accountant, you will lead core financial accounting activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. You’ll work across the business to support operational teams, drive process improvements, and uphold strong financial governance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close
- Prepare accurate financial statements and management reports
- Oversee CFIS reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
- Maintain balance sheet integrity through robust reconciliations
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards (e.g., IFRS) and regulatory requirements
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Partner with external and internal auditors
- Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and systems
- Mentor and support junior finance team members
You will bring:
- CA/CPA qualification (or equivalent)
- 3+ years’ financial accounting experience
- Proven experience with CFIS reporting
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial controls
- Advanced Excel and financial systems capability
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder confidence
- A proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset
