Grounds Team Member

Kapiti Retirement Trust is looking for a strong and fit person with experience in amenity horticulture to join our Grounds’ Team. The Trust’s retirement village is known for its extensive and beautiful grounds and this is an opportunity to be part of the team that is responsible for this reputation.

This position includes looking after the many Trust gardens and lawns as well as some project and landscaping work. This gives you the opportunity to have an interesting job with a good variety of work in a well-resourced team.

• Has experience in lawn and garden maintenance
• Level 3 Certificate of Horticulture in Amenity Horticulture preferred
• Has worked on landscaping projects
• Enjoys people, particularly the elderly
• Believes in hard work
• Wants to further your training and qualifications
• Takes pride in and responsibility for what you achieve
• Maintains good health, fitness and strength
• Works flexibly and are prepared to do whatever is needed
• Enjoys being part of a team
• Enjoys the outdoors

40 hours per week, 8.00 am to 4.30 pm, 5 days per week
