Cook

We are looking for a full-time permanent Cook (minimum 30 hours per week) who can immediately start to join our team and contribute to our expanding menu.

Knowledge of a variety of Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori items, street food, biryanis, kebabs, Roll, South Indian dishes, Indo-Chinese and traditional breads required.

Must be able to work on a flexible roster on 30 to 40 hours per week.

Salary: Pay rate $25.00 - $30.00 per hour (based on experience)

• Cleans food preparation areas as determined by law and company policy
• Makes adjustments to food items to accommodate guests with allergies or specific diet concerns
• Acts as liaison to front-of-house employees to ensure proper food service temperature
• Check food and ingredients for freshness
• Arrange and garnish dishes
• Seasons food according to recipes or company needs
• Orders ingredients and spices as needed
• Operates various kitchen appliance such as a blender, oven, grill, or stand mixer
• Portions, arranges, and garnishes food based on client preference
• Assists other chefs during the food assembly process
• Butchers and cooks animal meat based on the restaurant atmosphere
• Prepares any necessary sauces or accompaniments before meal service begins
• Check food and ingredients for freshness
• Arrange and garnish dishes
• Work well under pressure and within the limits
• Help lead and inspire our kitchen staff with the Restaurant Manager
• Cleans up after business hours
