Our client is looking for a professional and caring Medical Receptionist to join their team and provide outstanding service to their patients. As the first point of contact, you’ll play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment while ensuring the smooth running of our medical practice.

About the Role

In this busy and rewarding role, you will:

• Be the friendly face of the practice, greeting patients and handling enquiries in person and over the phone.
• Manage patient appointments, recalls, and follow-ups to ensure efficient scheduling.
• Maintain accurate patient records and support doctors and nurses with administrative tasks.
• Process payments, invoices, and claims (ACC/Medicare/insurance).
• Ensure patient confidentiality and uphold a professional, empathetic approach at all times.
• Keep the reception area running smoothly and professionally.

About You

We are seeking someone who brings:

• Previous experience in reception, administration, or customer service (medical or health sector experience preferred).
• Excellent communication skills with a warm, professional phone manner.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
• High attention to detail and strong computer literacy (experience with Medtech, Indici, or similar systems an advantage).
• A caring, patient-focused attitude with a commitment to confidentiality.
