Warehouse Assistant / Forklift Operator

Proper Crisps are artisan hand-cooked potato crisps, known for real ingredients, impeccable crunch and exception quality, based in sunny Nelson.
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated individual to support our warehouse team with the smooth functioning of our warehouse operations. This is a part-time position for 20 hours per week [however, some flexibility with additional hours may be required for an initial 2-3 week training period and thereafter from time-to-time for additional team cover] from Monday – Thursday on a Fixed Term contract for a period of 12 months.
This is a versatile role that focuses on inwards and outwards goods including movement of raw and finished products, documentation management, stock rotation, stock counts and loading of containers for shipping. You will have experience in a similar environment and have a good understanding of the principles of warehousing and distribution.
Applicants must have the following:- A full, clean driver’s licence, with F endorsement
- Current NZQA or OSH recognised forklift certification
- Be safety conscious
- Be fit and healthy as some physical work is required
- Excellent attention to detail
- Have a great “can do” attitude
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Good level of spoken and written English
- Proven ability to work and be part of a team as well as being able to work comfortably on their own
- A good sense of humour
