Assistant Store Manager - Wellington
Global Wines and Spirits Ltd T/A Big Barrel are looking for experienced Assistant Store Managers, someone who is proactive, driven and enjoys working with & developing a great team of people.
We are looking for 2 full-time(Min 30 Hours) enthusiastic candidates with some retail experience to join our team in the following area
Big Barrel Taita-1123 High Street, Taita, Lower HuttBig Barrel Otaki-42b Main Street, Otaki
You will be supporting the Store Manager overseeing store operations including staff management, stock control, business development along with the day to day running of a retail operation. This is an excellent opportunity to build your career, with full support from Management, as we grow and develop our business.
Manage and motivate your team to increase sales and ensure efficiencyMaintain store staff by recruiting, selecting, inducting, and training employees
Manage stock levels, ordering, stock control, and stock tracking.
Strategically plan the promotion of the business at a local level so that maximum customers can be attracted
Daily cash reconciliation, petty cash, and banking
Provide exceptional customer service throughout the store
Develop, execute, and manage merchandising programs for the store
Ensure staff comply with Company policies and procedures
Maintain security controls - cash, keys, alarms, and stock
Ensure the business and staff Comply with Occupational Health & Safety guidelines
You must have a Duty Managers Certificate or at-least a LCQ Certificate. If no certification then min 2 years of retail experience is required. With Duty Manager Certificate, 1 year experience may be considered. -Diploma in Business Level 5 or higher education is preferred but not compulsory and can be waived if applicant got good experience and retail knowledge.You must be NZ Citizen or Resident to apply for this role.
