Duty Manager – Ditto, Te Anau
Ditto is a vibrant ‘south-meets-east’ Asian fusion eatery and bar. Located in the scenic lakeside town of Te Anau, Fiordland, we serve inventive cuisine in a relaxed but high-energy environment, and we’re committed to delivering outstanding food and service.
We are seeking a full-time Duty Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and hold a current LCQ and Manager’s Certificate (or be eligible to obtain one). This is a permanent position, offering a minimum of 30 hours per week, with pay between $25–$30 per hour, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee daily operations and ensure smooth, efficient service during shifts
- Manage the sale and supply of alcohol in compliance with licensing laws
- Supervise and support front-of-house staff to maintain a fun, productive, and professional work environment
- Ensure high standards of customer service and product quality are consistently met
- Assist with staff on boarding and ongoing training
- Perform administrative duties including stock ordering, stocktakes, POS and website updates
- Contribute to the planning and execution of promotions, events, and private functions
- Monitor and enforce Host Responsibility and Health & Safety procedures
- Resolve issues or complaints professionally and promptly
You will need:
- A Valid LCQ and Manager’s Certificate (or ability to obtain one); and
- At least two years of relevant work experience.
- Honest, reliable, and organised
- Barista experience is a plus but not essential
