We are an MPI accredited ATF facility, & a Tyrewise Transporter as part of our general freight service.
Location: Mount Maunganui, Bay of PlentyStart date: Mid January, with interviews 2nd week of January
Starting rate from $30 per hour (depending on experience, paid weekly on a Tuesday)90 Day trial period
We are looking for a confident & experienced Dispatcher to coordinate our freight deliveries, drivers & routes to ensure timely, compliant, and efficient pick-ups and deliveries.You will be acting as the central communication hub between our drivers, customers, and management, handling everything from route planning and job bookings to vehicle maintenance planning. This role suits someone who is comfortable under pressure, highly organised, and committed to keeping freight moving smoothly and safely.
This role requires someone who understands the transport industry inside out, can guide a team with confidence, and ensure that daily operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:- Job bookings on our TMS.
- Communicate clearly & effectively with drivers & customers.
- Monitor shipment progress and resolve issues as they arise.
- Maintain compliance with New Zealand transport regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate dispatch and delivery records.
- Support our drivers by optimising routes and scheduling to improve efficiency.
- Previous experience as a dispatcher or in a logistics role, with driving ability preferred.
- Effective communication and organisational skills.
- Proven proficiency in computer systems and transport management software.
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
- A positive attitude and commitment to teamwork, customer satisfaction & relationship building
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling.
- Current and valid forklift licence.
-Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test /Criminal check.
