Whilethe primary focus is on Severity Assessment Code (SAC) 1 and 2 events, analysisof SAC 3 and 4 incidents informs trend reporting and organisationalrecommendations.KeyResponsibilities:Leading and coordinating adverse event reviews, ensuring appropriate methodology and best practice standardsProducing clear, high-quality reports within required timeframesAnalysing trends (including SAC 3 & 4 events) and providing practical recommendations for improvementPartnering with leaders to strengthen standards of care, patient safety culture, and continuous quality improvementIncorporating consumer voice and supporting shared organisational learningSupporting compliance with regulatory, professional, privacy, and safety requirementsAboutYouWeare seeking a Nurse Coordinator who has significant knowledge and experience inhealth systems.Youwill have experience in reviewing clinical events; gathering andanalysing information and reporting succinct findings. It goes without saying that your enthusiasm anddrive will shine through, as will your ability to build relationships and thinkon your feet in this ever-changing environment.Skillsand Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience in the health sector, including reviewing and investigating clinical eventsStrong analytical and reporting skills, with experience applying Quality Improvement principles and quality tools (e.g. SPC charts)Experience in project, risk, and change managementExcellent communication skills and the ability to build effective stakeholder relationshipsDemonstrated experience implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in practiceExperience leading adverse event and clinical reviews using a range of methodologiesA relevant postgraduate qualificationWorkingat Health New ZealandHealthNew Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare forthe people of New Zealand.
