Daily tasks may include assisting managers and clinicians with scheduling needs, order stationery/clinical supplies, coordinate travel requirements and complete necessary digital filing.Please note you will need to have NZ Citizenship, Residency or a valid NZ work visa at the time of application to apply.For further details, please refer to the position description here.About the TeamThe Day Stay Unit at Starship is a small, busy unit providing comprehensive medical and surgical care on a short term basis.
This role will work part time (0.7FTE) in the Day Stay Unit.The Paediatric Pain service provides outpatient care to children and teenagers with complex pain. This role will work part time (0.3FTE) in the Paediatric Pain Service.Starship Child Health is a dedicated paediatric healthcare service and major teaching centre, providing family centred care to neonates, children and young people throughout New Zealand and the South Pacific.Starship is a part of Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora and is the only comprehensive childrens hospital in New Zealand serving a population of approximately 1 million children.About youTo be successful in this role you will have:Experience working in a team administration or secretarial role for two plus yearsA positive attitude with strong organisational skills and attention to detailAt least two years of customer service experienceWell-developed communication and critical thinking skills and intermediate to advanced ability in Microsoft applicationsThe ability to prioritise work and take proactive approach to manage their time and workloadA strong commitment to quality healthcareBe capable of working independently and within a teamExperience working in the hospital environment and be familiar with MS Office capability including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.Working at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
