Hours: Monday's 4:00pm to 8:00pm
Sunday's 1:30pm - 8:00pm
Job Summary:We are seeking a reliable and experienced Duty Manager to oversee the daily operations of our small, community-focused grocery store. The ideal candidate will be customer-oriented, with strong leadership skills and the ability to create a positive work environment for our team.
As Duty Manager, you will ensure smooth store operations, maintain high standards of customer service, and handle any issues that arise during your shifts.
Responsibilities
Supervise and Support Staff: Lead and manage a small team of store associates, including delegation of tasks and providing guidance on customer service standards.
Customer Service: Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and requests professionally and efficiently.Inventory Management: Oversee stock levels, ensure timely shelf restocking, and manage inventory rotation.
Health & Safety Compliance: Maintain store cleanliness, follow health and safety protocols, and ensure a safe environment for staff and customers.
Cash Handling and Sales: Perform daily cash reconciliations, manage tills, and process transactions accurately.
Opening and Closing: Open and close the store during your shift, ensuring all security protocols are followed.
Problem Solving: Respond to and resolve any store issues promptly, including customer complaints and team challenges. Requirements
Previous experience in retail or grocery management preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently, make decisions under pressure, and solve problems.
Basic knowledge of POS systems and cash handling.
Reliable and punctual, with availability for specified shift hours.

Qualifications & Experience: Manager's Certificate
Previous experience in retail or grocery management is preferred.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
An eye for detail.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to multitask and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
Passion for customer service and a positive attitude.
Basic understanding of inventory management and financial reporting.
