Working in our exceptional open plan kitchen, the successful candidate will want to know our customers, remember their favorites and respect their custom, with excellent personal presentation, genuine pride and a big smile.

• monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
• discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians, kitchen and waiting staff
• demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
• preparing and cooking food
• Min of 3 years experience in a commercial kitchen and 2 years baking Napoletana Pizza's in a Brick woodfired oven
• experience in heating & maintaining temperature of Brick Woodfired oven, as well as cool down and cleaning
• Be able to make dough, following Alessandro's recipes
• be able to hand stretch and run timings of dockets and orders
• explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations
• may select and train staff
• may freeze and preserve foods
• Experience with cooking Pasta
• experience in cooking sauces to order
• using multiple pans at once

The candidate must be eligible to work in NZ.

This position is a fulltime permanent position, 35 hours per week.

Hourly rate is $25-$30 depending on the applicants experience

Location of work: Alessandro's Pizzeria, 15 Joll Road, Havelock North, Hawkes Bay.
