Project Manager – Civil Structures
Gisborne - Hawkes Bay

We are partnering with a well-established civil construction contractor to recruit an experienced Project Manager to join their growing Civil Structures team. Based in Gisborne, this role will deliver significant infrastructure projects across the Hawke’s Bay and East Coast regions.

With a major bridge project about to commence, this is a rare opportunity to take ownership of complex, high-value civil works in a region known for its lifestyle, natural beauty and tight-knit professional community.

About the Role You will lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale civil infrastructure projects, including:

  • Major bridge construction
  • Pump stations and treatment plants
  • Complex structural and civil works in regional and remote locations

This is a hands-on leadership role where your technical expertise, commercial acumen and ability to manage diverse stakeholders will be critical to success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead full project delivery from planning through to completion
  • Manage programmes, budgets, risk and commercial outcomes
  • Oversee site teams, subcontractors and consultants
  • Ensure compliance with H&S, environmental and quality standards
  • Build strong relationships with clients, councils and key stakeholders
  • Mentor and develop project and site teams
What We’re Looking For
  • Strong background in large, complex structural works (bridges preferred)
  • Proven experience managing projects of significant scale and complexity
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and commercial skills
  • Ability to work effectively in regional and remote locations
  • Relevant civil engineering or construction qualifications
