  • Our opportunityAs Principal Advisor – Ministerial Services, you will provide strategic oversight and expert advice to ensure the organisation delivers timely, accurate and risk aware responses to Ministerial, Executive and Official Information Act (OIA) requests.You’ll lead intake and triage processes, manage workflow risks, support quality assurance, identify emerging trends, and provide insights that strengthen governance, transparency and continuous improvement.This is a highly influential role at the centre of government accountability and decision-making.Key responsibilities include:• Lead intake and triage of Ministerial, OIA and correspondence requests, assessing complexity and risk.• Work closely with the Manager – Ministerial Services to allocate work across the team.• Provide strategic insights to inform organisational risk profiles and improve processes.• Review moderate risk responses and support quality standards across the team.• Monitor delivery performance, maintain dashboards, and analyse trends.• Provide mentoring and guidance on drafting quality and tone.• Liaise with internal partners, including Digital Workspace, on workflow tools and improvements – comfort working with systems, maintaining and fixing low level issues/advising what fixes are required.• Build strong relationships across Kāinga Ora and with key external agencies.Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu
  • What you will bringHere’s what you will bring to the role:• Extensive experience in Ministerial servicing, including triage, drafting and reviewing OIA responses.• Strong understanding of the Official Information Act and its application in a public sector context.• Proven ability to lead workflow operations in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment.• Experience working with digital workflow tools and defining system requirements.• Exceptional communication, relationship management and influencing skills.• Strong analytical and strategic thinking capability, with a flair for identifying patterns and risks.• Experience coaching and mentoring others in quality writing and content standardsNōu te rourou
