Mosaic Venues operate Mr Go’s, Ombra, Kisa and Parla restaurants (plus LTD. space and Wellington Sourdough Bakery). We’re a young, ambitious hospitality collective focused on accessible, considered and distinct dining, underpinned by our values of Professional, Warmth and Consistency.
We’re currently hiring Chef de Parties & Senior Chef de Parties at all levels across our venues, with part-time and full-time opportunities available. Roles are based in Te Aro or Island Bay, depending on your fit and preference.
We’re looking for chefs who take pride in quality, enjoy being part of a tight team, and want to keep learning. You’ll work across key sections (depending on venue and level), contribute to service excellence, and support kitchen standards and positive team culture.
What you’ll bring (CDP + Senior CDP)- Proven experience, preferrably in reputable restaurants (Senior CDP: at least 2 years chef experience)
- Strong, consistent cooking skills and attention to detail
- Confidence across core kitchen fundamentals: prep, section cooking
- Solid understanding of dietary requirements and kitchen communication around them
- High standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety compliance
- Calm under pressure, resilient, reliably, high energy, and a positive attitude
- Willingness to learn, grow, and contribute to a supportive team culture
- Flexible availability across a 7-day roster (we can work around other commitments)
- Ability and willingness to support training/upskilling of junior staff
- Stock rotation and stocktake capability, with an interest in kitchen financials (training provided)
- Able to open/close the restaurant
- $26.50–$31.00/hr with a clear progression pathway
- Guaranteed minimum 30 hours week for full-time positions, part-time can be minimum or casual by arrangement
