We're looking for a strategic and delivery-focused HR leader to join our People Group Leadership Team as Manager: Planning and Integration.

This is a high-impact role that sits at the heart of translating organisational priorities into fit-for-purpose people plans and targeted solutions.
Mō te tūnga | About the role The Manager: Planning and Integration role is central to how the People Group connects with and responds to the strategic direction set by the Commissioner and Executive Leadership Team.

You'll be responsible for interpreting high-level organisational priorities and shaping how these are embedded into the People Group's operational focus and delivery.

You'll play a pivotal role in shaping how the People Group delivers on these priorities

As a trusted HR strategic partner to the Chief People Officer and as a key member of the People Group Leadership Team, you'll work closely with Directors who hold accountability for a broad range of functions, including: Health, Safety and Employee Wellbeing Recruitment and Talent Employment Legal Advisory Services People Strategy (HR Business Partnering, Strategic Workforce Planning, Employment Policies, Systems and Change, Organisational Development, Industrial Relations, and Remuneration) People Operations (HR Advisory and Delivery, Workplace Resolutions and Employment Investigations, and Payroll) You'll bring together strategic thinking and operational delivery, ensuring people initiatives are future-focused, well-governed, and aligned with both compliance requirements and our cultural aspirations.

Key Accountabilities: Drive the implementation of a redesigned people strategy and operating model, ensuring it is embedded effectively across the People Group and aligned with organisational priorities.
Collaborate closely with the Chief People Officer to shape and deliver people-focused solutions that respond to strategic business needs and enable long-term workforce capability.
Act as a strategic thought partner to the Chief People Officer, contributing to planning, prioritisation, and decision-making across the People Group Leadership Team.
Ensure the People Group is equipped with the right strategies, systems, and tools to deliver high-quality services, meet performance expectations, and support continuous improvement.
Foster strong, trust-based relationships with senior leaders and key stakeholders, enabling meaningful collaboration and influence across the organisation and with external partners.

You've held senior HR roles in large, complex organisations that spans multiple functions and influences organisation-wide outcomes.

We're looking for someone who is: A strategic thinker with a strong HR background and a passion for transformation.

Skilled at influencing and collaborating across all levels of an organisation.
Deeply knowledgeable in contemporary HR practices and able to apply them to complex workforce challenges.
Committed to continuous professional development, with a relevant HR qualification or equivalent senior-level experience.
Comfortable operating in both strategic and delivery spaces — thinking big, connecting dots, and getting things done.
This role is Strategic People Leader level.

Utu ā-tau | Salary This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $171,055 and $ 176,700 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
