Maintenance Engineer

Full time / Permanent

• Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm
• Convenient Otahuhu Location

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to support a well-established and expanding food production facility in Otahuhu. This hands-on role is key to ensuring smooth operations and continuous improvement across the site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections
• Troubleshoot and repair machinery (e.g., conveyors, pumps, kettles, sealing equipment)
• Support equipment installations and minor fabrication tasks
• Maintain workshop and facility cleanliness and safety
• Assist with general building maintenance
• Communicate effectively with the production team and uphold high food safety standards

What You'll Bring:

• Welding experience with stainless steel
• Ability to read technical machine drawings and SOPs
• Proven experience in a manufacturing or food production environment
• A good understanding of Health & Safety and compliance standards
• A current Counterbalance & Reach Truck license (or willingness to obtain one)
• Bonus: experience with refrigeration systems or IDDSI framework
