The majority of assets in the portfolio are managed by a team in New Zealand and are invested across listed and unlisted assets both here and across the globe. About the role Reporting to the Chief Investment Officer, the Head of Dynamic Asset Allocation is an exciting opportunity to lead the development and implementation of ACC's dynamic asset allocation (DAA) strategy with the aim of generating ongoing value add to the investment portfolio.
Key Responsibilities Leadership of the DAA strategy: including development, implementation and ongoing management.Ongoing enhancement and daily management of the DAA programme: monitoring and managing daily DAA exposures and macroeconomic indicators, building and back-testing valuation models, running simulations for portfolio construction.Strategic analysis, communication, and stakeholder engagement: communicating the key results of analysis to stakeholders, and reporting on the DAA programme to the Senior Management Team and Board Investment Committee as required.
Contributing to and supporting the Chief Investment Officer's business strategy.Innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement: Fostering a collaborative approach to investment across the DAA team, wider Investments group and corporate ACC.Providing support and development to one direct report. Continuously seek ways to improve investment processes, adopt new technologies and staying current with financial market developments and new investment products. The successful candidate can be Auckland (preferred), or Wellington based.
A competitive base salary is on offer for this role plus a potential incentive (linked to achievement of objectives) and a range of other employee benefits. About you You'll bring financial and investment expertise and a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
You'll have a strong understanding and experience of the funds management industry and a postgraduate qualification in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics or computer science. We'll also be looking for: Proven presentation, communication and influencing skills with senior stakeholders.An ability to establish, manage, and leverage relationships across a large organisation.Strong analytical skills and quantitative techniques, spanning the areas of statistics, econometrics, asset pricing, and risk.Demonstrated ability to develop quantitative models and tools to support complex decision-making processes.
