Office Accounts Administrator - Lower Hutt | Immediate Start

Looking for a fast-paced admin role where no two days are the same? We're working with a long-standing, proudly NZ-owned family business (operating since 1930) that needs a capable and adaptable Office Accounts Administrator to join their team.

About the Role

Based in Lower Hutt, this is a part-time opportunity (approx. 25 hours across 5 days, starting from 6:30am), with scope to grow into a full time position. This is a busy, hands-on position where you'll be right in the middle of operations, supporting a dynamic wholesale produce environment.

This role goes beyond standard admin—you'll take ownership of key financial processes while also supporting wider office coordination, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety and responsibility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing accounts receivable and payable with a strong focus on debtors and creditors
  • Proactive debt collection and maintaining healthy cash flow
  • Processing invoices, statements, and reconciliations accurately
  • Handling customer enquiries and maintaining strong relationships
  • Cash handling, banking, and daily financial tasks
  • Supporting general office operations and team coordination
  • Managing office, store, and staff supplies
  • Contributing to a clean, organised, and efficient workplace
About You
  • Proven experience in accounts/admin, particularly with debtors and creditors
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks
  • Confident using MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional approach
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and adaptable with a "get stuck in" attitude
