About the Role

We are a people-centred dental service, driven by technology and innovation. We're looking for hands-on, technically savvy Dental Technicians at various levels to join our national team, based in Middlemore Hospital working 40 hours a week Monday to Friday.

This isn't your average toolbox job, it's your chance to contribute to shaping oral healthcare across hospitals, mobile dental vans, schools, and community hubs. You will be the trusted expert ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of essential dental tech from digital X-rays to suction pumps and sterilisers.

The Role Focus:

Commission, calibrate, and verify dental/medical equipment
Diagnose and repair systems with a focus on patient safety
Troubleshoot faults and lead maintenance/risk programmes
Ensure compliance with NZ health and safety standards
Train clinical staff on safe and effective equipment use

Integrate tech into clinical workflows

About You

Relevant tertiary qualification (NZQA Level 7) in Clinical, Biomedical, or Electrical Engineering
EWRB registration (endorsed for Medical Cardiac Protected Areas), or a plan to achieve it within 1224 months
Ionising Radiation Use Licence
Technical expertise, admin skills, and knowledge of healthcare practices
Strong problem-solving ability and calm, collaborative style
Commitment to patient safety, compliance, and innovation
Full NZ Driver's Licence + NZ work eligibility
Solutions-focused mindset, strong English communication, attention to detail, and ability to engage stakeholders

Bonus: Experience with dental/oral health equipment
