Swimming Pool & Spa Technician

1. Pool and Spa Maintenance:

• Perform routine maintenance on residential and commercial swimming pools and spas.
• Test water chemistry and apply necessary chemical treatments to ensure water quality and safety.

1. Installation and Repairs:

• Assist in the installation of new pools, spas, and related equipment (pumps, filters, heaters).
• Diagnose and repair pool systems, including plumbing, filtration, and electrical components.

1. Customer Service:

• Provide professional advice to customers on pool and spa care.
• Deliver high-quality service while building positive relationships with clients.

1. Equipment Handling:

• Operate and maintain specialized tools and machinery.
• Ensure the proper disposal of waste and adherence to safety protocols.

1. Team Collaboration:

• Work closely with team members to complete projects efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of services provided and report to the management team.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience:
• Prior experience in swimming pool maintenance or related trades is preferred but not essential (training can be provided).
• Technical Knowledge:
• Basic understanding of water chemistry, plumbing, and pool systems.
• Familiarity with pool equipment (pumps, filters, chlorinators, etc.) is advantageous.
• Licenses and Certifications:
• A valid NZ driver’s license is required.
• Relevant certifications in pool operations or water chemistry are a plus.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
