The programme is a joint national initiative of the Department of Conservation Te Papa Atawhai (DOC) and Heritage New Zealand Pouhere Taonga (HNZPT) and is administered by HNZPT. About the roleAs Tohu Whenua grows, we are looking for a skilled Kaitohutohu Whakawhiti Kōrero Communications Advisor to develop and deliver communications that are consistent with the programme's goals and messages, to maximise and grow the profile of Tohu Whenua.
This will involve developing storytelling and tourism content for a range of platforms and audiences, liaising with media and supporting the production of publications.Our ideal candidate has a range of skills including:media outreachwriting and editing across print and digital platformssome proficiency in te reo Māoriwebsite content management, including an understanding of SEO and accessibilitysocial media management - video production is a bonusWe are a small team with lots to do and a range of partners and stakeholders so we are looking for a team player who is adaptable, collaborative and positive.The role reports to the Marketing and Communications Manager and works within a supportive, busy programme team based in central Wellington.
