GOfuel is seeking to recruit an experienced bulk liquid, tanker driver for our Auckland operation.
This role requires someone who is flexible in order to meet customer, and peak seasonal demands. This could include after hours and rostered weekends (with the appropriate time off, of course.)
About the role
This role requires you to deliver bulk fuel mainly around Auckland and surrounds. Some out of town travel throughout the North Island and overnighting will be expected from this role. We deliver to ports, shipping vessels, marinas, industrial fuel storage tanks, aviation tanks, etc.
The role offers variety in that you could be driving a class 2 tanker the one day, a semi-trailer the next, then a truck and trailer the day after. Our deliveries range from 100’s of litres to 1,000’s of litres. Bulk deliveries could be done through pumping as well as gravity drops.We even deliver fuel using a hose and nozzle.
Needless to say, this role is required to load fuel tankers from various fuel terminals throughout the North Island for which you will receive the appropriate training.The role is currently guaranteed at minimum 40 hours per week.
This role is not currently subject to varying shift patterns, as it is typically a dayshift role. Rostered weekend work and work on public holidays will be expected.
About youYou will be an experienced class 5, truck and trailer driver, who:
- Has a current D-endorsement
- Has a clean driver’s license
- Has a great, positive attitude
- Can demonstrate that you can maintain a high level of safety and quality
- Is comfortable with flexible start and finish times
- Can demonstrate as having the ability to provide a positive customer service
- Is proactive in maintaining a safe working environment
- Is presentable as a professional, positive, company representative
- Can keep your work space and equipment clean and presentable at all times
- Can confidently operate technology as well as complete paperwork accurately
- Is able to work autonomously, as well as part of a team
- Can safely pass a pre-employment medical and drugs test.
