Salary Range: $75,000 to $80,000 per year before PAYE, based on work experience or qualifications.

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior System Administrator to join our X-Pert 247 brand. This role is responsible for the end-to-end management of IT infrastructure—both internally and for our clients—including server installations, system backups, network security, and overall system optimization.

The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring high system uptime, data integrity, and infrastructure scalability, while also leading initiatives to improve operational efficiency. In addition, the Senior System Administrator will provide technical support to our clients, resolving hardware, server, and network-related issues as needed.

Key Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities:
  • Manage, monitor, and maintain servers, networks, firewalls, virtualization systems, cloud environments and storage infrastructure.
  • Design, implement, and maintain system security and backup procedures.
  • Administrator and troubleshoot core services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, file/print servers, Attendance Management, access Control, PABX Systems and Exchange/Office 365.
  • Lead patch management, software upgrades, and system integrations.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Ensure systems and services meet high availability and disaster recovery standards.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and changes.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior system administrators and IT support staff
  • Collaborate with other IT and business teams on infrastructure planning and implementations.
  • Manage IT assets and perform capacity planning.
Experience or Qualifications for the role:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer networking or minimum 5 years of proven experience in hardware/network administration.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
Additional Details:
Days Required: Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work as required.

Travel: Minimal travel within New Zealand may be required.
