Site Engineer - Civil Construction
We are looking for a Site Engineer to work on a large-scale earthworks project in the Wellington Region.
With a civil engineering background, you will have a minimum of 1 years’ experience in New Zealand, preferably working on a large civil construction project and with a civil engineering tertiary qualification. You will be able to communicate well at all levels throughout the project, from the clients, Alliance partners, head contractors, sub-contractors, Goodman Directors, staff and the general public.
The role of the Site Engineer encompasses many activities including:
- Written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical, negotiation and relationship skills.
- Team leadership and support to staff and sub-contractors.
- Computer skills in MS suite and ability to use programming/scheduling software.
- Task training or skills to suit specific project activities and their associated risks.
- Knowledge of industrial relations.
- Knowledge of HSE legislation.
- Understanding of the company’s management system requirements.
- Cost and time management skills.
- Strong Administration skills
- Contract / subcontract interpretation and management skills.
- Conduct themselves in a manner that maintains and or enhances the reputation of Goodman Contractors Limited.
