Project Manager - Residential Construction

About the role
Scott Developments Ltd t/a Versatile Wellington is seeking a qualified LBP and experienced Project Manager to join their team. As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful end-to-end delivery of residential and some light commercial construction projects, ensuring each build is completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality and safety.
What you'll be doing- Manage and coordinate the planning and delivery aspects of residential construction projects, including pre-build planning, subcontractor management, and risk management
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and effective project delivery
- Develop and monitor project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones and deliverables
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality and safety
- Ensure adequate resourcing and sequencing of trades to achieve smooth project flow
- Identify and mitigate potential risks, implementing proactive solutions to ensure project success
- Oversee the procurement of materials and services, negotiating favourable terms and maintaining supplier relationships
- Provide regular progress reports and updates to the management team, highlighting key achievements and addressing any challenges
- A qualified LBP with proven experience managing and delivering successful projects within the construction industry
- Strong understanding of residential construction processes, relevant laws, standards and regulations, and project management principles
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Proficient in the use of project management, scheduling and time-sheeting software and tools, as well as the Microsoft 365 suite of products and industry-related apps i.e. HazardCo
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise, manage competing deadlines, and coordinate activities across multiple projects concurrently
- Team focused leadership style with the ability to motivate and empower building teams leading to quality outcomes and delighted customers
