Youth Wellbeing Support Workers

Never “just” a Youth Support Worker!

You matter here. Not just in the “thanks for your service” way—but in the real, lived, day-to-day way where your voice is heard, your wellbeing is prioritised, and your way of working is respected.

We’re MindFull Support—a kaupapa-driven, zero-ego, very human team of youth support workers who believe in doing this mahi the right way.

No managers on pedestals. No pretending everything’s fine when it’s not. Just a values-led crew walking alongside youth/ rangatahi and each other—with integrity, humour, and heart.

Here’s what it feels like to work here:
  • You’ve got time to rest: 48–72 hour shifts mean real time off each week
  • You’ve got backup: Counselling, Clinical + cultural supervision as standard, not a bonus
  • You’ve got influence: Ideas from the floor shape the future here
  • You’re not micromanaged: The office team exists to serve you
  • You’re trusted to lead your own day—with strong boundaries and deep support
  • You’re part of a team that debriefs, reflects, and actually grows together

We’re not another box-ticking org with a slick mission and no soul. We’re bold, honest, and flat-out different. And we only bring in the people who add to that.

We get over 100 applicants a month.

But we only hire the ones who fit, that understand boundaries, who understand routine and rangatahi support that’s fo used on them. Why are we so hard to join? —because our current team deserves to work alongside people who are solid, skilled, and values-led.

We protect the kaupapa, always.

This is for you if you…
  • Already have experience working with youth (especially in mental health, disability, or high-needs spaces)
  • Understand trauma-informed care—and live it, not just say it
  • Bring lived or learned cultural competency that honours Maori and Pasifika rangatahi
  • Know how to hold space and hold boundaries at the same time
  • Want your voice to matter in the workplace
  • Are calm in crisis, reflective in practice, and collaborative by default
  • Want to be part of a kaupapa that’s changing the care system—not upholding it
To work here, you’ll need:
  • A full driver’s licence + a reliable vehicle (WOF + rego)
  • Level 3 or higher youth or health qualification
  • Legal right to work in Aotearoa
  • Availability for 24 hr shifts, ideally one or two per weekend and one weekend shift every second weekend minimum.

Sound like your people? Apply by 20 April

Let’s have a korero. No fluff, no jargon. Just real talk.
