Provides supervision, coordination, instruction and other oversight to groups or teams ofTechnicians and Trades workers. Provide practical training and on-the-job instruction to Technicians
and Trades Workers. May on occasion perform some technical and trades tasks although usually in the
context of supervision or instruction.
Job Description- Inspecting construction sites regularly to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards.
- Supervising and instructing the construction team as well as subcontractors.
- Educating site workers on construction safety regulations and accident protocol.
- Enforcing site safety rules to minimise work-related accidents and injuries.
- Handling site accidents in accordance with established accident protocol.
- Maintaining an accurate record of construction employee attendance.
- Evaluating the performance of construction employees and instituting disciplinary measures
- Analyzing blueprints to ensure that construction projects meet design, safety, and budget
- Recommending changes to construction operations or procedures to increase efficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Proven experience working as a site supervisor.
- CPR and first aid certifications.
- Sound knowledge of building codes and construction safety regulations.
- Working knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
- The ability to interpret blueprints.
- Outstanding leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Capable of training subordinates for future succession
- Capable of working in a remote environment if required
- With Valid Driver’s license
The position will be FLY IN / FLY OUT 5 WEEKS ON 13 DAYS OFF, Accomodation and a Vehicle will be supplied in PNG Salary package will be fixed.
