About the Role
Christchurch Outpatients has an opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join their team on a permanent contract (0.5'0.8 FTE).
Healthcare Assistants are instrumental in providing care to patients and supporting the clinical team. Working across a range of specialties, no two days are the same. HCAs are trained to undertake delegated clinical tasks as directed by the clinician running the clinic, such as recording vital signs and performing ECGs.
You will play a key role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of clinics and will be responsible for:
- Undertaking delegated clinical tasks and supporting nursing staff
- Maintaining clinic flow
- Line cleaning and reprocessing scopes and sterile equipment
- General cleaning and setting up rooms
- Ordering supplies and restocking
- Chaperoning patients if required

Christchurch Outpatients provides clinical support and care across many different specialties, operating over four floors of our outpatient facility.
Our Healthcare Assistant team is essential to the effective delivery of outpatient services, ensuring clinics run efficiently while maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.
