This role centralises around strong clinical/organisational skillsand well-developed clinical experience in child and adolescent mental healthsettings.

  • Child, Adolescent and Family Mental Health Service, NorthCommunity and Outreach Team (CAF North) based at Hillmorton.

Skills & ExperienceRegistered Social WorkerHave completed or on a pathway to complete a post graduate qualification relevant to this role.Ideally have experience in outpatient case management (assessment and treatment), clinical teaching, supervision and supporting and championing change in clinical settings as part of a teamWhakawhanaungatanga (ability to forge and foster relationships)Whakamanaakitanga (ability to treat others with respect, encouragement and support)Whakakotahitanga (ability to work in your role and actively participate and align this to our organisational values and goalsUsing an MDT approach, the team implement a range ofinterventions to support people in their journey.Working collaboratively with consumers, their whanau andother significant people in their lives to ensure they have access to a highstandard of care and are able to achieve equitable healthcare outcomes in theirjourney.About YouYou will have an interest in working with consumers who have a dual diagnosisBe a strong team player who can also practice autonomously.Able to promote the nursing perspective and advocate for your consumers.Excellent physical and mental health assessment skillsHighly developed communication skills and an ability to connect with others in a meaningful and therapeutic manner.Be a positive, compassionate and caring person with a genuine desire to work with this consumer group.You must have a current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) scoped for mental healthWorking at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuringexcellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
