Veterinary Nurse / Receptionist

We have a part-time WEEKDAY position available for a Veterinary Nurse/Receptionist with Great South Vets in Papatoetoe, Auckland.

This position is for Monday to Friday, 20 to 30 hours per week.

We are open 7:30 am to 5 pm week days. The position will be duty rostered, morning or afternoons, during the periods between 7.30 am and 5.00 pm.

You will be expected to stay on and work extra hours if needed and at times to fill in for others, when they are sick or on annual leave.

The position involves cleaning, nursing, animal handling, front line client interaction, reception, telephone, and related duties.

The successful applicant will have an interest in customer service.

Experience is not essential although a Diploma or Certificate in Veterinary Nursing or Animal Care, or higher, would be an advantage.

Job dedication, enthusiasm and hard working are desirable attributes.

You will not be afraid to get your hands dirty, and put in extra hours when required.

Basic computer knowledge is necessary, and the ability to touch type quickly and accurately is essential. Full training will be given on our veterinary management software.

You will eventually be expected to become competent in all aspects of this role as required by the clinic and veterinary team.
