About the RoleYou will provide specialist nursing care, support and advice for caregivers around assessment, education, evaluation, and negotiated planning of care for their babies in a residential environment.Mothercraft provides a 24 hour live-in service.
Rostered shift morning, afternoon and nights - Monday to Friday.Mothercraft Nurses work closely with the Multi-disciplinary team of Dietitians, Social Workers, Kaitiaki, Perinatal Mental Health nurse, Lactation consultants SLT and Paediatricians.

About the TeamWe have a 5 bedded unit providing a 5 day inpatient service for infants from birth up to approximately 1 year of age providing support & education for parents and babies experiencing issues such as feeding difficulties, reflux, unsettled/irritable babies, poor weight gain, sleep issues.
We also assist with transitioning babies from NICU where parents need extra support before discharge and support with NG tube weaning.We also provide support for families experiencing Postnatal depression/anxiety which impacts the care of the infant.
About you5 years or more recent Paediatric or Neonatal nursing experience.Be available to cover leave.Expert communication skills.Proven team work skills.Proven problem-solving skills.Maternal mental health nursing experience would be an advantage.
