About the Role
Datascape is Datacom’s modern, cloud-based ERP suite purpose-built for local government in Australia and New Zealand. Comprised of integrated ERP modules and standalone digital tools, Datascape streamlines operations, boosts community engagement and delivers real-time data for smarter decisions.We’re seeking a Product Quality Assurance Manager to own quality for Datascape – leading automation QAs, scaling automation, and making release-readiness decisions that reduce customer defects and accelerate safe go-lives.
Key Responsibilities
As our Quality Assurance Manager, you will:
- Lead, mentor and grow a team of Automation QAs and QA engineers; hire, coach and develop career paths.
- Develop, implement, and execute quality assurance processes and procedures.
- Ensure adherence to ISO standards, methodologies, and best practices.
- Drive outcome-based quality metrics (for example: customer defect trend, escaped defects per release, automation coverage vs defect reduction, cycle time to test, mean time to detect/fix) · You’ll work with Datacom’s internal AI tooling and governed LLM pipelines — experience integrating AI agents into CI/CD and test orchestration is highly valued.
- Responsible for release readiness decisions in partnership with Product, Engineering and Support – evaluate risk and sign off on cutover to live.
- Coordinate QA effort across features and modules to meet release schedules.
- Provide leadership and technical guidance within established company policies.
- Promote and uphold health and safety standards in line with company policy.
- A minimum of 7 years’ experience in a similar QA role within a corporate or IT environment.
- Proven experience building and scaling test automation frameworks, integrating with CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong grasp of outcome-driven QA: able to define KPIs, link automation investment to reduced customer defects, and present data-driven trade-offs.
- Strong understanding of ISO practices and quality assurance frameworks.
- Demonstrated success in managing systems for quality and service assurance.
- Excellent people leadership: mentoring senior testers, career development, and hiring.
- Strong analytical, consultative, and planning capabilities.
- Ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders across all levels.
