Duty Manager

As Duty Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the bar, overseeing staff, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.

• Help oversee the daily running of the wine bar, ensuring a high standard of service and customer satisfaction.
• Lead, motivate, and support the staff, fostering a positive team environment.
• Manage and resolve customer queries, feedback, or complaints in a professional and friendly manner.
• Ensure responsible service of alcohol and compliance with all relevant regulations and licensing requirements.
• Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering and inventory management.
• Open and close the bar, including cash handling, reconciliation, and security procedures.
• Assist with creating and maintaining a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere in line with our brand and values.
• Support with staff training and onboarding, ensuring all team members are up to date with safety and operational standards.
• Coordinate with management on promotions, events, and marketing initiatives.

• Previous experience in hospitality, preferably in a bar, restaurant, or similar environment.
• Current Duty Manager Certificate (LCQ) or willingness to obtain.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
• Passion for wine and customer service; wine knowledge is a plus, but training can be provided.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Reliable, trustworthy, and committed to maintaining a safe and enjoyable workplace.
