A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated mechanic to join a dynamic team at a reputable company. Our client is looking for a skilled Mechanic with a strong background in maintaining and repairing light commercial trucks (Class 1-2 – up to 10+ tons), commercial diesel vans and utes.Dual rear-wheeler truck experience is a plus! The ideal candidate will bring excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair various commercial vehicles, with a focus on brakes, suspension, and engine systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and preventative services to keep vehicles running at their best.
- Conduct diagnostic tests using specialised scan tools and equipment to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Replace faulty parts and components as required.
- Perform Pre-COF checks to ensure vehicles meet regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and ensure all repairs comply with safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest diesel technology and repair techniques.
- Bonus: Ability to fit tires on both passenger and commercial vehicles.
- At least 5-7 years of experience working on commercial vehicles and light trucks.
- Expertise in diagnostics, engine repair, suspension, and brake systems.
- Level 4 Qualification (preferred but not essential).
- Strong ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Full, valid NZ driver’s license (Truck license is beneficial).
- A commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
