We are currently seeking a Factory Supervisor to lead our afternoon shift at our Christchurch Polystyrene Manufacturing Plant. Key Responsibilities- Lead, manage, and develop your team to ensure productivity, efficiency, and high performance.
- Prepare and manage production plans to meet customer requirements in a cost-effective and timely manner.
- Maintain compliance with all safety, health, environmental, and quality standards, taking corrective actions where needed.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.
- Take ownership of operational issues, resolving them promptly and effectively.
- Train and mentor employees to ensure quality output and adherence to best practices.
We’re looking for a hands-on, people-focused leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You’ll be passionate about continuous improvement, safety, and operational excellence.
You’ll ideally bring:- Proven experience leading, developing, and motivating production teams.
- Mechanical aptitude and a practical, innovative mindset.
- Background in manufacturing or process industries (polystyrene or plastics an advantage).
- Transitional Facility Operator / Accredited Person certification (preferred).
- Current Forklift Licence is advantageous but not necessary
- Strong focus on Health, Safety, and Quality.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
