Commercial Landscaper - Queenstown

Experienced landscapers required.

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Landscaper to create the beautiful backyards we're known for in the Queenstown area. We build and maintain for many of our country's most iconic civil, commercial and residential landscapes.

As a Commercial Landscaper you are key to our success – working as part of a team and reporting to a Team Leader, you'll do everything from site set-out to planting, timber work, lawn care and much more. The responsibilities are dependent on the project work that we have available, which means no two days are the same!

This is a full-time permanent position with an hourly rate ranging from $27 to $32, depending on skills and experience, on a standard 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Landscape Construction - you install hard scapes and/or soft scapes to our clients' specifications. Depending on the project and your skills, that can include planting, mulching, timber works, concreting, paving, and installing irrigation.
• Quality - your work is of the highest standard; you are thorough and take pride in doing well. What you don't know yet, you'll learn from your Team Leader or Site Manager.
• Health & Safety - you make sure you and your workmates go home unharmed every day.
• Team Work - our landscapers work in teams of 2-5 and support each other. You'll be an active team member, by having each other's back, while having all the support from the Team Leader in maintaining great relationships with clients.

About You:

You’ll have a passion for landscaping, have a strong work ethic and enjoy being on the tools and in the garden. You're a team player, willing to learn and ideally already have some experience.

You will also have considerable experience in gardening and handling tools (ideally including heavy machinery) and get immense satisfaction from completing a project and pleasing clients. You will enjoy sharing your knowledge with others and are adept at communicating and collaborating with your team, clients, and contractors.

Requirements:

• 2+ years' experience in Landscaping, Construction or similar.
• A good level of fitness and communication skills – you’ll be actively moving and lifting all day.
• Willingness to learn and grow
• A commitment to health and safety practices that creates a safe working environment for the team and others on site
• Clean driver's license
• Have valid rights to work in New Zealand

Advantageous but not essential:

• Site safe certification
• First Aid certificatation
• Carpentry and concreting experience
• Ability to drive a Manual vehicle
