Sales Support & Business Development
Aqua Clear Products Ltd is a long-established supplier to New Zealand’s swimming pool and spa industry. We provide innovative, energy-efficient pool products that help builders, retailers, service technicians, and homeowners get more from their pools with less hassle.
Our range includes energy-efficient pumps, chlorinators, heat pumps, robotic cleaners, filters, automation, lighting, chemicals, and related pool equipment. We are looking for a motivated Sales Support & Business Development Representative to help us support existing customers, grow dealer relationships, follow up leads, and create new sales opportunities.
About the role
This is a hands-on sales support and business development role. You will work closely with the Managing Director, Sales Manager, customer support, warehouse, and our trade customers.
Your job will be to keep sales activity moving: following up quotes, supporting customers with product information, helping dealers promote Aqua Clear products, identifying opportunities, and making sure enquiries are handled quickly and professionally.
Key responsibilities
You will:
- Follow up sales enquiries, quotes, and open opportunities.
- Support trade customers, dealers, pool builders, retailers, and service businesses.
- Help customers select the right product from the Aqua Clear range.
- Make outbound calls to existing and potential customers.
- Assist with dealer development, product launches, promotions, and lead follow-up.
- Keep customer notes, quotes, and sales opportunities organised.
- Work with the warehouse and support team to help customers with stock, delivery, warranty, and product questions.
- Help prepare product information, pricing support, and sales material.
- Identify new business opportunities across New Zealand.
- Represent Aqua Clear in a professional, practical, and service-focused way.
What we are looking for
The ideal person will have:
- Previous experience in sales support, customer service, account support, trade sales, business development, or similar.
- Confidence on the phone and the ability to build relationships.
- Strong follow-up habits and good attention to detail.
- A practical interest in technical products.
- Good computer and admin skills.
- A positive, reliable, self-motivated attitude.
- The ability to learn product details and explain them clearly.
- A team-first approach in a small business environment.
Experience in the swimming pool, plumbing, electrical, irrigation, building, trade supply, or home improvement industry would be useful, but it is not essential. Attitude, follow-up, and willingness to learn are more important.
