About the Role | Mō te mahiWe’re looking for a proactive and experienced Project Coordinator to join the Delivery Team at Natural Hazards Commission, Toka Tū Ake (NHC). Based in Christchurch or Wellington, this role supports a range of high-profile projects that contribute to our mission of helping New Zealanders understand and respond to natural hazard risks.Reporting to our Manager, Programme Delivery, you’ll work across multiple initiatives supporting Project Managers and teams to ensure projects run smoothly, milestones are met, and delivery is well-coordinated.

This is a dynamic, fast-paced environment where your ability to manage competing priorities, support Project Managers in whatever they need, and keep things moving, will be highly valued.This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in complex environments, enjoys connecting dots across projects, and brings a sharp eye for detail and delivery.Key Responsibilities Include: Provide coordination support across multiple projects, ensuring deliverables, timelines, and dependencies are tracked and managed.

Support the maintenance of project documentation, reporting, and governance records to support effective decision-making. Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to break down work into actionable components. Support financial tracking and budget monitoring across initiatives.
Assist Project Managers with scheduling, communications, and stakeholder engagement. Help maintain momentum across projects by anticipating needs and resolving issues proactively. Strong working knowledge of project management tools and reporting frameworks. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. A proactive mindset with the ability to manage competing priorities and keep things moving. Confidence in handling financial data and supporting budget tracking.
