Position Overview:We are looking for an experienced Class 2 truck driver & forklift operator to support our warehouse operations. In this role you will be responsible for the safe operation of forklifts, ensuring the efficient handling, loading, unloading and storage of our landscape products.
This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail, a strong focus on safety, a tidy environment and the ability to work effectively within a team.
You will be tasked with general duties around the warehouse, picking orders using the counter balance forklift, put aways, deliveries, keeping everything clean and tidy. You will not just be on the Forklifts or Truck, but tasked with a wide range of responsibilities to keep things interesting!
Key Responsibilities:
Forklift Operation: Safely operate counterbalance forklifts and to move materials around the yard ensuring products are placed in the correct locations
Inventory Management: Assist with inventory tracking ensuring that stock is stored in the correct place and rotated.Devanning Containers: Safely and efficiently unloading goods from shipping containers using appropriate equipment and techniques.
Loading/Unloading: Load and unload delivery trucks ensuring goods are handled with care and securely placed in the yard or warehouse.
Stock Picking: Accurately pick product for dispatch ensuring that orders are fulfilled according to specification and dispatch schedule.
Delivery: Drive Class 2 truck with a trailer ensuring goods are handled with care and securely placed in customer's site.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with administration team to meet daily operational goals and ensure a smooth workflow.
What we are looking for:
Forklift Operation: A minimum of 3 years of proven experience safely and effectively operating a counterbalance forklift.Class 2 Truck Driving: Proven ability to drive and reverse Class 2 Truck with a trailer.
Warehouse Experience: A minimum of 2 years of proven experience in a warehouse or yard environment, with a strong background in stock handling.
Reliability & Punctuality: Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality to maintain efficient operations.
Problem solving: Ability to address and resolve warehouse challenges as and when required.
Flexibility: expect to transition on and off the forklift, so physical fitness is a must for lifting items up to 25kg.
Be able to pass a pre-employment drug testBe able to provide a clean criminal record from the Ministry of Justice
Communication Skills: Moderate communication skills in English. Fluency in Mandarin is a big plus, but not essential.
Certification Required:
Forklift License: A current and valid forklift operator certification (e.g. OSH equivalent)Class 2 Full License: A current Full Class 2 Driver's License
Hours of Work:
Hours vary on season 8 to 10 hours per dayStandard hours are between 7AM and 5PM, Monday to Saturday. Roster includes weekend work.
Minimal 40 hours per week
