Cobden Takeaways is looking for two chefs who can handle fast-paced kitchen work in our busy takeaway shop on the West Coast. You will be responsible for preparing meals to order, at a consistently high standard, and for managing the kitchen inventory to control costs and minimise wastage.

We are looking for candidates who have the following:

  • At least one year of kitchen experience, including experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience maintaining a clean, efficient and well-organised kitchen, including stock ordering
  • Good understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations
  • The ability to work under pressure without direct supervision
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • The ability to multitask and stay focused during peak hours
  • A positive attitude, team spirit, and strong work ethic

The occupants of this role will need to be available to work most weekends and evenings, and to do split shifts. A minimum of 40 hours per week is guaranteed and the pay on offer is $25-$30 per hour depending on experience.
