About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Finance Manager will lead a small, high-performing team responsible for delivering accurate, timely financial and management reporting. This is a fixed term position until the 30th September 2026.

This position plays a key role in supporting both day-to-day financial operations and an ERP system implementation project, ensuring stability, accuracy, and insight throughout the transition.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing and mentoring a capable finance team to ensure effective delivery of core functions and project support.
• Overseeing the preparation of monthly and statutory financial reporting, including Board and management reports.
• Leading budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow management processes.
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, public sector requirements, and internal policies.
• Liaising with auditors, government agencies, and other key stakeholders.
• Partnering with project teams to support the successful rollout of a new ERP system.
• Driving continuous improvement, efficiency, and capability within the finance function.

About You

We're looking for an experienced and proactive finance professional who enjoys leading people and working across a dynamic organisation.

Key skills and experience:

• CA (Chartered Accountant) or equivalent tertiary qualification.
• At least 8 years' accounting and finance experience, ideally within the public or not-for-profit sector.
• Proven experience managing or leading a finance team.
• Strong technical accounting skills and familiarity with IFRS and public sector reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite or Microsoft Business Central.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• High attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise effectively.
• A collaborative, hands-on approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
