About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Finance Manager will lead a small, high-performing team responsible for delivering accurate, timely financial and management reporting. This is a fixed term position until the 30th September 2026.
This position plays a key role in supporting both day-to-day financial operations and an ERP system implementation project, ensuring stability, accuracy, and insight throughout the transition.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and mentoring a capable finance team to ensure effective delivery of core functions and project support.
- Overseeing the preparation of monthly and statutory financial reporting, including Board and management reports.
- Leading budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow management processes.
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, public sector requirements, and internal policies.
- Liaising with auditors, government agencies, and other key stakeholders.
- Partnering with project teams to support the successful rollout of a new ERP system.
- Driving continuous improvement, efficiency, and capability within the finance function.
About You
We're looking for an experienced and proactive finance professional who enjoys leading people and working across a dynamic organisation.
Key skills and experience:
- CA (Chartered Accountant) or equivalent tertiary qualification.
- At least 8 years' accounting and finance experience, ideally within the public or not-for-profit sector.
- Proven experience managing or leading a finance team.
- Strong technical accounting skills and familiarity with IFRS and public sector reporting.
- Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite or Microsoft Business Central.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- High attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise effectively.
- A collaborative, hands-on approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
